Specialty Foods in Hyogo


I will introduce the specialty foods of Hyogo Prefecture. I think there are many delicious foods in Hyogo  that are unknown to the Japanese people. This time, I will introduce three of my favorite specialties. Maybe you have never eaten them. 


The first is ''katsumeshi.'' This is flattened beef on top of rice and sprinkled with demiglace sauce. I can't eat it in Kanto. It is a B-class gourmet food and a popular specialty.

               

The second is ''akashiyaki.'' It is a popular food. It is different from ‘’takoyaki’’ in Kanto. It uses ''dashi'' instead of sauce. Also, it is fluffy like ''Tamagoyaki.'' It's very hard to eat, but it's very delicious.


The last is ''sobameshi.'' This is a food that is made by chopping ‘’yakisoba’’ into small pieces and mixing it with rice. I think Kansai housewives often make this food. This is also a B-class gourmet food and is a popular specialty. 



Hyogo Prefecture has a lot of very delicious food. I would like to introduce more. The food I introduced is sold in coffee shops, service areas, and shopping malls. However, you can't eat them without going to Hyogo Prefecture. Please try them when you visit Hyogo Prefecture.
